Our Affiliates: Women of Reform Judaism (Sisterhood) & Brotherhood

FALMOUTH JEWISH CONGREGATION WOMEN OF REFORM JUDAISM (SISTERHOOD) Chartered during the summer of 1984, the Falmouth Jewish Congregation Sisterhood is an organization devoted to furthering the ideals of Judaism, serving the synagogue, and fostering fellowship among its members.

Our Sisterhood is affiliated with both the Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) and the New England Region of WRJ, allowing for many oppprtunities to interact with, and learn from, our sister congregations on the regional and national levels. Working with these two groups, our congregation's Sisterhood helps provide youth camp and rabbinic scholarships and participates in social action projects as well as other appropriate activities.

To benefit the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, Sisterhood holds a number of fundraising events each year to help realize our goals. Our interesting and enjoyable programs include coffee get-togetehrs, luncheons, speakers on a wide array of subjects, book discussion groups, fashion shows, and theater parties.

Ours is a vibrant group of women committed to the vitality of synagogue life and the high ideals of our heritage. We invite you to join the Falmouth Jewish Congregation Sisterhood!

THE FALMOUTH JEWISH CONGREGATION BROTHERHOOD The Brotherhood tries to further the ideals of Judaism while promoting fellowship and friendship. This is done by supporting and partaking in temple activities as well as running our own social, educational, and fundraising programs.

A monthly Sunday breakfast with an interesting speaker is a regular feature of our program. It is supplemented by such activities as a Night at the Theater, a Comdedy Club Evening, a Card Night, a trip to a local ball game, or whatever the creativity of the membership can devise.

Friendship is one of our themes and we welcome you to join us in Brotherhood.
