Public Opening Reception

Exhibit of My Mother's Story: Paintings by Claudia Cameron inspired by the life of her mother, Ruth Oppenheim

Monday, December 19, Noon - 3:00 P.M.

Up-to-date vaccination is required. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination & boosters and to wear a mask, if instructed.

FJC is honored to host this special exhibit of "My Mother's Story," a series of paintings by artist Claudia Cameron that are inspired by her mother - Ruth Oppenheim's life. Ruth's memoir, "Beyond Survival" recounts not only her childhood in Germany and life as a refugee, but also the fullness and richness of her life during her 95 years to date. Ruth's son and Claudia's brother, Jeff Oppenheim and his wife Valerie are amongst the founders of Falmouth Jewish Congregation. Thus Ruth's living legacy touches our own community.

We cordially invite members of the public to view the exhibit, watch recorded comments by the artist, and enjoy refreshments and conversation inspired by the exhibit.
