STORM ALERT! - Rosh Hashanah Schedule Changes

PLEASE NOTE: For security putposes, you must be a ticket-holder or on our pre-registration list to gain entrance to our services. There will be no exceptions.

Friday, September 15th, 9:00 AM

Hurricane Lee was been downgraded to a tropical storm but its impact will be felt across Cape Cod from late Friday night into Saturday evening.

Because of our overriding concern for the welfare of our community and the uncertainties associated with the storm, after careful deliberation we have made the following changes to our Rosh Hashanah worship schedule:

Erev Rosh Hashanah - Friday night (9/15)

Our service will start at 7:00 PM, one hour earlier than originally scheduled. The service will be followed by an oneg for those who wish to stay.

Rosh Hashanah - Saturday (9/16)  --- Saturday services are cancelledAll services are shifted to Sunday (9/17).

The schedule of those services remains the same. The afternoon Family Experience will take place as scheduled.  Our Tashlich ceremony at Woodneck Beach will be contingent upon the condition of that beach following the storm. A decision about Tashlich will be announced during the morning services.

There will be no second day Rosh Hashanah observance  and we apologize to those who accepted honors for that service. The planned second-day lunch will not be held.

Should you have questions or concerns about these changes, please feel free to call:

Ann Rider (FJC President) - 610-703-5264
Joel Lubin (1st Vice-President) - 671-669-6518
Joanie Linsky (Chair, Rel. Living. Committee) - 617-967-2596

We hope that you fare well during the storm and that you will exercise good judgment when traveling should you decide to  join us for worship on Friday evening and/or on Sunday.

L'shanah tovah tikateyvu!
May you be inscribed for a good year!
