Our congregation is committed to the pursuit of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, through a commitment to social justice.

Informed and supported by the work of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and its Religious Action Center, we are committed to education, advocacy, and action. We have expressed our commitment to these goals through our participation in the URJ’s Brit Olam, an action covenant for social justice.

The Committee concerns itself with issues on the local, national, and global levels. Some of its work includes:

  • Tzedakah: raising funds for worthy causes
  • Partnering with area faith communities
  • Organizing speakers and informational programs
  • Education and advocacy within the congregation about pressing issues and concerns
